Non-CME session: This interactive question-answer session provides an opportunity to engage a panel of experts including a National Institutes of Health (NIH) program officer and several clinical researchers. The discussion will include topics relevant to clinicians interested in pursuing all forms of clinical research. Funding opportunities for further research training and educational loan repayment, productive mentor-mentee relationships, diverse career paths, intellectual property, and industry funding are just a few of the topics that will be discussed.

Louis Alvarado

Louis Alvarado, MD, graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-medicine and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Following that, he completed his residency at The Christ Hospital and University of Cincinnati Family Medicine Residency.

Annie Moran
M.D.
Dr. Moran specializes in internal medicine primary care. She received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Kevin Riley
M.D.
Dr. Riley received his medical degree from Wright State University, and completed his residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in general vascular surgery and surgery.
